Assignments

Quests that are required to progress through the main story, which rewards the player with access to more monsters and equipment.

Main Missions

Story-driven objectives that can be completed to follow the narrative of the game and are closely tied to Assignments.

Extra Missions

Optional quests that are given to the player by talking to the different NPCs found in the Forbidden Lands.

Side missions

Tasks given by the different NPCs encountered in the Forbidden Lands, and are completely optional.

Optional Quests

Non-essential quests that are unlocked in various ways. These quests can be done repeatedly by the hunter, with some optional quests unlocking upgrades and tools for the hunter

Event Quests

Quests that can only be completed during a specific timeframe, with these quests having unique rewards that cannot be obtained by finishing Assignments or Optional Quests.

Arena Quests

Time-based competition quests that can be accepted at the Arena Quest Counter and allow up to two hunters to complete quests as fast as possible using specified equipment.

Challenge Quests

Limited-time event quests where you earn Pendants from participating, as well as based on your completion time and ranking
